Three fiendish murders, one each night, have occurred in London during the past three evenings. In each case, the victim was a minion of the law; In each case, a poem was pinned to the victim's body warning Scotland Yard that the murderous poet would again strike until, at last, his vengeance was satisfied.

The three victims were Spencer Moore, a police constable discovered shot in the Newsagents; Alan Cameron, a barrister found strangled in the Carriage Depot; and magistrate Ian Sayers found poisoned in the dining room of the Hotel.

A poem pinned to Sayer's body warned that the bard would strike once more this evening then forever vanish. The anonymous criminal has dared Scotland Yard to find four rhyming notes hidden at different locations in the City and uncover his dastardly plan before he kills his final victim.

Anonymous tips, claiming the informant has vital information concerning the case, advise Inspector Gregson to proceed to the Docks, Inspector Athelney Jones to travel to the Theatre, Inspector Lestrade to advance to the Park, and Holmes, himself to journey to the Pawnbroker shop at 9 p.m. this evening.

Your mission

Before nightfall, Holmes must find the rhyming notes and through them discover a) where the killer plans to strike, b) the weapon he plans to use, c) the identity of the intended victim and d) the identity of the murderous poet.
